Complimenting Others

Most people appreciate being complimented. When someone pays you a compliment, you feel proud and good about yourself. Some people feel a bit embarrassed from this sort of attention, but generally speaking, being complimented gives your spirit and self-confidence a boost. My message today centers on complimenting other people. The truth is that complimenting others is good medicine for your life too. So I have a suggestion for people who want to feel better, be a kinder person and create more happiness in life.

I encourage you to start complimenting people regularly. I know that some of you will find this a difficult task, but the benefits are well worth the effort. And the opportunities to give compliments are endless. Please give my experiment a try and give two compliments today. Nothing too involved is needed; just a few words, such as: “You look great in that color.” You create two very positive results with a short compliment: The receiver feels flattered and validated and YOU feel empowered and kind. Everyone wins in this exchange! So give someone a compliment today and see how it complements your life.
