Whales are in terrible danger. Three countries -- Japan, Norway, and Iceland -- that look at these majestic creatures and see only meat are about to turn back the clock to the days of commercial whaling. The Obama administration must use its international influence to stop the carnage.
The International Whaling Commission meeting starts on June 21 -- in days, the fate of whales will be decided. Whales already face catastrophic threats -- pollution, climate change, habitat loss, fishing line entanglement, and oil spills -- how can they survive commercial whaling? Tell President Obama to be a hero for whales. Thank you for all you do for animals.
