If you're taking a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) like Nexium, Prilosec, or Prevacid, talk to your doctor NOW! The longer you take these potentially dangerous drugs, the greater the risk to your health… and maybe your life.
The FDA just announced that long-term use of PPIs may cause low magnesium levels. That may not sound dire, but it can be. Magnesium deficiency is linked to critical health problems, including muscle spasms, convulsions, and severe heart problems--congestive heart failure, cardiac arrhythmia, even sudden cardiac death, for example.
With so many safe, effective natural ways to conquer heartburn and reflux to choose from, don't risk your heart using these dangerous drugs.
