We all know that eating fatty foods can lead to clogged arteries and heart disease down the line. But did you know that eating bagels may have the same results?
A recent study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine suggests that women who consume simple carbs like bagels, white rice and potatoes may be twice as likely to develop heart disease as women who don't.
What can we do if we have carb cravings? The answer is to ditch the simple carbs and go for the complex carbs like brown rice, whole grains and fruit. Not only will eating these foods help us feel less hungry, they may also help keep our hearts healthy.
