Why You Should Eat (Not Drink) Juice

If you're craving something sweet and juicy, your first thought may be to satisfy yourself with a glass of juice. Wrong! Not only is juice high in calories, but it also lacks the fiber found in whole fruit that will help fill you up.
What should you drink instead? Fruit! Of course, you'll be eating the fruit, but it's water-based, which will help quench your thirst. Plus, it has vitamins, nutrients and fiber that will keep you feeling fuller longer.

If you just won't be satisfied until you have that juice, make sure it's a lighter or low-sugar version, or drink a smaller amount than normal and dilute it with water. Just remember that drinking juice is basically empty calories—you're better off eating that orange along with a nice, calorie-free glass of water.
