If you like starting off your day with a little meat for breakfast—say, sausage or bacon—think twice if you're watching your waistline. Those choices are loaded with saturated fat.
Instead, try meatless options like eggs, beans, nuts or quinoa—or, if you must have your meat, try turkey sausage instead. "It's not significantly lower in fat or calories, but it has fewer nitrites than other meats, which could harm your health," says Keri Glassman, R.D., author of The O2 Diet.
