3 Tips to Ease into Weight Loss

3 Tips to Ease into Weight Loss

Losing weight and conquering your cravings can be two of the toughest things you ever do. But there are a few steps you can take to make things at least a little bit easier:

1. Focus on what you can eat. Instead of beating yourself up over foods that are off-limits and making yourself feel deprived, concentrate on high-fiber, high-water foods—like fruits and veggies—that will help you feel fuller longer.

2. Eat for hunger, not the clock. Are you a three-times-a-day eater? Or do you prefer more mini-meals to keep your energy up throughout the day? Figure out what type of eater you are and avoid skipping meals, which just makes you more hungry later on.

3. Limit processed foods. Convenience foods can be loaded with salt, fat and empty calories. Choose less-processed foods whenever possible; when it's not possible, read labels so you can make the best available choice.
