We've all done it: We indulge in one slice of cake, or a cookie or two—and then we tell ourselves that since we've already gone off the wagon, we might as well go off even more, and we eat whatever we want for the rest of the day. The sad result? We end up feeling even worse about ourselves.
say there's another way to eat that will let us have our dessert and actually enjoy it: the 80/20 plan. This plan says that as long as 80 percent of what we eat is "good"—fruits and veggies, whole grains, fish, low-fat dairy—then we should feel okay with the other 20 percent being not so good.
So, as long as we know that most of our diet is healthy, we should feel no guilt saying yes to that piece of pie!
