On a Statin? Take CoQ10

Question: My father has been on simvastatin for 10 years, but he complains of aching shoulders and fatigue. Is there an alternative to prevent plaque and inflammation?

Dr. Blaylock's Answer:

If we believe the research, statin drugs don’t benefit people who are over the age of 65 — in fact, they can be harmful. Aching, weak muscles and fatigue are absolutely good reasons to discontinue these drugs. They can be an early sign of a potentially fatal complication.

Statins rob the body of CoQ10, and this leads to severe muscle weakness, aches, heart failure, and poor cognitive brain function. Most important, anyone on statins should be taking at least 300 mg of CoQ10 three times a day.
