It may not be your imagination that you and your honey have put on a few extra pounds after getting hitched. A 2008 study in the journal Obesity found that couples who lived together for more than two years (whether or not they were married) were more likely to be obese, inactive and sedentary.
But you don't have to give in to your cravings once you're living with your loved one. Try these two tips to stay in shape despite your wedded bliss:
1. Enlist a personal trainer. Find someone who can keep you motivated and set a schedule so you don't slack on your workouts. Revee Torledo found a trainer who acted more like a life coach and was available 24 hours a day to keep her accountable.
2. Eat more leafy greens. If you get home from work and collapse on the couch with your sweetheart—and a pint of ice cream or bag of chips—go for some leafy greens and lean protein instead. As Adam Saunders says, "Now people tell me it looks like I shed 15 years in age."
