A Treat That's Better Than Pie!

Summer's definitely the season for fresh fruit pies. But indulging in too many of these sweet treats will add pounds to your waistline.

Instead, go old-school this summer: Try the healthy fruit without the fattening crust. How? While you're using the grill, throw on some fruit! The natural sugars in peaches and nectarines will caramelize, leaving a deliciously sweet flavor. Also experiment with grilling other seasonal fruits, like strawberries on a skewer, for a tasty treat without the guilt.

If you don't have a grill, create your own fruit kebabs with fresh berries and chunks of melon on a skewer. Not only are they fun to eat, but they also pack a huge nutritional punch that can't be beat.
