The Perfect Summer Snack for Weight Loss

One of the true delights of summer is the bounty of fresh fruits—berries, cherries and, perhaps best of all, peaches and nectarines! These super-juicy stone fruits are at their peak between June and September. Plus, peaches are great for satisfying cravings with no guilt: Not only are they low in calories—a medium-size peach has fewer than 40 calories—but they're also a good source of vitamin C.

Enjoy your peaches plain or sliced over nonfat Greek yogurt or whole-grain cereals. And although peach pie isn't something you should eat every day (though it's perfectly fine to indulge once in a while!), try this healthier version of a peach dessert that will still satisfy: Throw some slices of peach or nectarine on the grill and serve with low-fat vanilla ice cream. It's just like a warm and juicy peach pie, minus the fattening crust.
