2 Satisfying Snacks Under 150 Calories

When you crave a snack that will satisfy, it can be tough to know just what to eat. You want something you can make quickly and that will fill you up without lots of calories and fat. Next time you get a snack attack, here are two delicious duos to try that use minimal ingredients but pack lots of flavor:

1. Start by boiling an egg. Then mash it with 1/2 teaspoon low-fat mayo and a little of your favorite savory spice. (Though eggs do contain cholesterol, they're also great sources of vitamins and essential fatty acids.)

Next, spread your homemade egg salad into a small whole-wheat pita, chockfull of healthy fiber, protein, and vitamins A and B12. You've got yourself an easy-to-make and sure-to-satisfy egg salad sandwich!

2. Begin with 3/4 cup 1% fat cottage cheese. Stir in 1 teaspoon sugar-free lemon Jell-O powder and allow it to set for 3 hours in the fridge; top with 2 tablespoons fat-free whipped cream before serving. Voila—a delicious "dessert" that's high in protein and low in fat and calories!
